I told a few participants from Columbus Code Camp (great event by the way) that I would post my presentation and code samples for them online.. so here it is.

I used Prezi for my presentation.  It’s quick, more interesting to build and use then PowerPoint or Keynote, and its free.  If you haven’t seen it, try it out.

The Eclipse / Android SDK code is located here for you download and development convenience : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/84987/Code%20Camp.zip but unfortunately there is no good way to get you the Google App Inventor code.  If you really want it, I can figure something out, comment and I’ll send it to you.

Oh and one last shameless plug for mowbol.  If you are interested in developing on Android, iPhone, Windows Phone 7, iPad or any Android Pads, go to http://www.mowbol.com and send an email.  We are always looking for good mobile developers.

I’m going to be giving a talk at the Columbus Code Camp on October 16th on android development.  Here is a quick excerpt from the agenda.

Have an idea for a mobile app and want to try your hand at Android?  We will build an app using two development environments.  Google app inventor and Eclipse/Android SDK and see the differences.    The first is for learning how to swim, the other assumes you know what you’re doing (and you will after this talk).
